First solar eclipse of 2012 will be this month

The first solar eclipse of 2012 will occur on May 21, Director of Shamakhi-based Astrophysical Observatory of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Eyyub Guliyev reported.

According to him, solar eclipse will occur at 01.50 by Baku time and continue till 07.49. The second solar eclipse of 2012 will occur on November 14 at 23.39 by Baku time and continue till 04.44. These eclipses will not be observed in Azerbaijan.
