No foreign TV series on Azerbaijan TV channels from today

The term for suspension of foreign TV series broadcast on Azerbaijani channels expires today. According to the decision passed by the National TV and Radio Council, the local TV channels will stop broadcast of foreign “soap operas” beginning from tomorrow.

The decision is resolute and can not be changed, said chairman of the Council Nushiravan Maharramli. He said those, who disobey new rules, would be punished within the law, in other words, they would be warned previously, then fined or deprived of license.
