Ecology ministry reports on current condition in transboundary rivers

According to the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, currently, water richness holds 75-155% of decade norm in the rivers of Major Caucasus, 95-155% in the rivers of Minor Caucasus, 45-75% in the rivers of Lankaran-Astara zone, while 35-40% in the rivers of Nakhichevan AR.
Current condition in the transit rivers

Water consumption holds 474 m3/sec, i.e. 67% of decade norm (in 2011, 117%, being 830 m3/sec) in Giragkasaman settlement of Kura river, while 178 m3/sec, i.e. 100% of decade norm (in 2011, 117%, being 208 m3/sec) in Ayrichay settlement of Ganikh river.

Current condition in the downstream of Kura river

At present, water level holds 516 cm (On April 27, 2011, 668 cm) in Surra settlement, 425 cm (On April 27, 2011, 567 cm) in Shirvan region, 368 cm (On April 27, 2011, 471 cm) in Salyan region, 279 cm (On April 27, 2011, 341 cm) in Banka settlement, while 234 cm (On April 27, 2011, 390 cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
