Azerbaijan joins int'l conference on natural resources

. Professor Vagif Abbasov, director of the Institute of Oil-Chemistry Process named after Yusif Mammadaliyev of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Scientists (ANAS) and Hikmat Ibrahimov, Doctor of Technical Science, participated in an international conference called “Innovative technologies for integrated processing of natural resources of Turkmenistan" in Ashgabat.

According to ANAS, Vagif Abbasov and Hikmat Ibrahimov delivered reports in the event.
Touching upon close relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, Mr. Abbasov noted the importance of joint activities of scientists of both countries and support to oil-chemistry complexes development.

Hikmat Ibrahimov, in his turn, provided information on the redevelopment world implementing in oil refining and oil-chemistry complexes in Azerbaijan.

The conference has been organized by the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. The event participants discussed the key challenges in processing and careful use of natural resources of Turkmenistan and their prospects; innovative technologies in the petrochemical and refining of hydrocarbon resources of Turkmenistan; modern technologies of complex processing of mineral and hydro-mineral resources of our country; application of new technologies in management of water resources of Turkmenistan and providing the population with clean drinking water; urgent tasks of environmental protection in exploration and processing of natural resources. The reports delivered by participants also touched on many other topics relating to the use of advanced technologies in the oil and gas industry, power industry, chemical industry.
