New youth project started in Azerbaijan

The National Assembly of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan starts a new project. The National Assembly of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, UNICEF and European Union start a new project.

On the first stage the project will outreach 10000 young people living in the regions and cities of Azerbaijan. The main purpose of the project is to raise awareness of young people about the environmental challenges existing in Azerbaijan. The first stage of the project will continue till December 2012.

During this period young people will have study visits to the European countries to learn the European experience on tackling with environmental challenges. After the study visits 25 young people from each region will lead the trainings on environmental issues. The participants of the trainings will learn the new approaches on solving the environmental challenges. Those young people will practice the things they will learn during the trainings and it will ensure the follow-up of the project.
