Under the project implemented by the public association 'Journalism and Development Centre' in conjunction with the headquarters of the traffic police, a phrasebook of the Azerbaijani language has been published, head of the Metropolitan Traffic Police Office Vagif Asadov told Trend on Monday. From May 1 phrasebooks will be given to drivers of taxis, buses and traffic police officers.

Booklets, which contain information about Baku, an evacuation service, car rental, restaurants and entertainment centres will be distributed to tourists and guests of the capital on the eve of the competition.

Eurovision's last year winner Nigar Jamal will attend the presentation of the phrasebook and booklet. She is involved in the 10-year United Nations Programme on road safety, as well as appointed ambassador of East Union in the name of safety and stability.

The project is funded by the Council of State Support to NGOs under the president of Azerbaijan.

The 57th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in the Baku Crystal Hall near the State Flag Square. The semi-finals will be held in Baku on May 22 and May 24 and the final on May 26.
