New system devloped to protect health of adolescents

A new electronic system for monitoring the health of adolescents is created in Azerbaijan. Currently phased deployment of electronic information system for clinical examination of adolescents is being implemented, the director of the Information Center for Health Jabrail Asadzade said.

As a result of medical examination of young people, they timely undergo a medical examination. If some deterioration in health condition is observed then the early treatment is implemented.

Asadzade noted that the system registers the time and type of examination of a patient who is a survey, the survey results and action taken as a result of detection of the disease, and others. An electronic database of medical services provided to adolescents is created on the basis of these results.

All outpatient medical institutions in the country, providing medical services to adolescents will be joined to the system. These studies have been already conducted in Baku and currently the phased deployment of information in an electronic system in the regions is being implemented.
In the framework of "citizens' electronic health card" registration information on health services provided for children, has started since 2008, Asadzade said.
