New road linking Baku’s villages with central highway to be laid

Construction of a new road from the 13th kilometer of the Zig- Baku International Airport road in the direction of the Gala station and the Sahil settlement was already launched, Spokesman of the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry’s Azeoryolservis OPJS Punhan Mursaliyev said.

He said the length of the new road will be 12.5 km and  width - 21.5 meters. "The four-lane-road will allow to shorten the roads from the Gala and Turkan setllments to the central highway,” he noted.
 
Speaking about the construction terms, he said that the construction work is scheduled to be completed in late 2012 or early 2013.
