Chinese center opens at Azerbaijan`s academy

The Chinese center has today opened at the Public Administration Academy under Azerbaijani President with the support of the China`s Embassy. Speaking to the opening event, Academy`s rector, academician, Urkhan Alakbarov, expressed confidence that the center would contribute to strengthening friendship and cultural ties between the two countries.

He said a memorandum of cooperation and exchange of experience was signed with the Beijing State Administration Academy. According to Alakbarov, 6 teachers of the Public Administration Academy were on an internship at China’s public bodies.

China`s ambassador Hong Tsuin praised the opening of the center. He said the new Center would bring the two countries` people closer to each other and boost the expansion of relations between Azerbaijan`s and China`s higher educational institutions. The ambassador also expressed hope the Center would increase interest among Azerbaijanis towards learning Chinese.
