
Health Ministry of Azerbaijan has approved " Clinical Protocol on tobacco smoking refusal " prepared by Public Health and Reforms Center for doctors employed in first aid medical services sphere.
The center reports that " Clinical Protocol on tobacco smoking refusal " is firstly important part of wide tobacco and tobacco addiction control, as well as the campaign for reduction of need for tobacco in connection with termination of its use. The protocol is designed for therapists, pediatricians, family doctors, psychotherapists, pulmonologists, gynecologists, pharmacists and so on.
The protocol aims at creation of model for saving population from tobacco smoking by the example of first aid medical services employees, reduction of death rate from diseases caused by this harmful habit. Azerbaijan has joined Framework Convention of World Health Organization in anti-tobacco fight in 2005.
