Hunters missing in avalanche in Azerbaijan - UPDATE

The hunters missing in the avalanche in Azerbaijan’s Gabala region have been named. The region police office told APA that the missing persons are – Elvin Mukhtar Karimov, Nazir Tahir Bayramov and Zakir Gazanfar Mammadov.

The Emergency Situations Ministry reported that three are missing in the avalanche in Azerbaijan. The ministry’s 112 hotline service received a call that three residents of Vendam village of the Gabala region went hunting on the mountains and did not return. Their relatives said they were struck by avalanche.

A helicopter of the ministry’s aviation unit, rescuers of the Special Risk Rescue Service and trained dogs were involved in search. The search of the missing is underway
