Azerbaijan’s policy to settle problems of family appraised

Hijran Huseynova, Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Affairs met with women–deputies of Riksdag (Swedish Parliament). Huseynova briefed the Swedish MPs on the women`s policy in Azerbaijan, Hijran Huseynova noted that President Ilham Aliyev attaches great importance to ensuring gender balance, solving problems of families and children.

She also highlighted the activities of the First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, ISESCO and UNESCO goodwill ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva aimed at enhancing the role of women in the society, strengthening family values, protecting children`s rights etc.
The chairman underscored the importance of cooperation with foreign countries, in particular with Sweden.

MPs highly praised the policy conducted in Azerbaijan, and noted the great progress achieved in the field of gender equality.
