Metrobus to appear in Baku

The bus rapid transport system –Metrobus will appear in Baku. The Metrobus system is already applied in Istanbul, Turkey and works well.  

According to the local media, although, The Baku City Power Executive and the related state agencies agreed on this issue, there remain open technical issues of the Metrobus system. At the initial stage,  the Metrobus lines are planned to run along the Liberty Square - Nobel Avenue - the Zig road; ‘May 28’ metro station  - Heydar Aliyev Avenue – Bina  (near the airport); ‘January 20’ metro station- Darnagul – ‘Koroglu’ metro station and Baku – Sumgait.
