Some 0.5mln manat to be issued to Azerbaijan’s TV channels

The  National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) will allocate AZN 500 thousand to every TV channel for production of TV series, NTRC Chairman Nushiravan Maharramli aid.

According to him, the meeting of the NTRC will be held on April 6. Issues on the allocation of financial resources to the TV channels will be discussed at the meeting: “Broadcasting foreign TV series will be unambiguously stopped. There is no other problem. Some TV channels say to prolong this term, but it will not occur.”

NTRC chairman said that TV channels have the right to dubbing new TV series: “Every TV channel is functioning within the law. Now they have this right, but beginning from May 1, they will lose it. Can these TV channels broadcast these TV series after it? It will be better that TV channels to take into account the audience interests and not start and then interrupt TV series and to complete their broadcasting until May 1. We urged the managers of TV channels about it to solve this issue until May 1. If they don’t understand this and think that this term will be prolonged, they are mistaken.”
