Polat road construction company blasts in Azerbaijan - PHOTOS

Five were seriously injured in the blast occurred in the canteen of Polat Road Construction Company in Padar village of Hajigabul, alert force of the Emergency Situations Ministry reported.

Five were injured as the gas cylinder blasted in the canteen of Polat Road Construction Company in Padar village of Hajigabul at 16.00 on April 1. The blast was followed by fire. Three fire engines of Kurdamir and Hajigabul Fire Fighting Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the site. The fire covered 230 sq m area, all devices burnt down.

Four got burns in the fire, one was injured by the blast wave. The citizen of Turkey Gulen Ali Dursun, resident of Hajigabul Mahmudova Gulshan Jafar, residents of Shirvan Guliyeva Sevil Murvat and Nasirova Maryam Gurbat got burns.

They were first taken to Shirvan hospital, later to Baku Burns Center. According to doctors, they are in critical condition.

The person, who was injured by the blast wave, resident of Padar village of Hajigabul Hasanov Samir Faig, was taken to the traumatology department of Shirvan hospital.

According to initial versions, safety rules were violated in the canteen, gas leak caused the blast and fire.

The law-enforcement bodies and investigation department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are carrying out investigation over the fact.
