'Azerbaijan-Turkey humanitarian cooperation would strengthen'

A delegation of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society led by its chief Novruzali Aslanov has visited Turkey. As part of the visit Aslanov had a meeting with head of the Turkish Red Crescent Society Ahmet Lutfi Akar.

They discussed prospects for cooperation between the two countries` humanitarian organizations.
Lutfi Akar praised Azerbaijan`s assistance to Turkey in tackling consequences of an earthquake which hit Van province last year.

Aslanov expressed confidence the humanitarian cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey would strengthen. As part of the trip, the Azerbaijani delegation visited Turkish Red Crescent Society`s office in Nevsehir province where they viewed emergency situations facilities. Aslanov said Azerbaijan donated more than $40,000 to the Turkish Red Crescent Society during the natural disaster in Van.
