Parents, be ready for schools’ SMS warning!

Baku Education Administration has decreed on organization of SMS warning service of parents by the capital’s electronic schools of the pupils’ marks and attendance.

The Education Administration has reported that the decision on introduction of this service was approved on 15 March 2012. These measures are taken for provision of parents and school’s control over the pupils’ attendance and expansion of information-communication technologies application in education process.

At present this service has been introduced in some e-schools which still bases on capacities of Azercell mobile operator. The company gives definite short number to schools, through which  parents can activate the services by sending SMS and get SMS warnings from school.
On the whole conditions for use of electronic lessons system have been created in 1.000 schools of the country.

" Electronic School" project also includes Electronic lessons management program (AeL), electronic lessons (SCORM standards) and National education Information base (NED).

The project bears great importance in terms of statistics data collection on education sphere in single database as well as parents-school relations, increase of education level and so on.
At present the country numbers 20 electronic schools, of them up to 10 Baku schools are connected to " Electronic School" system , namely schools ? 5, ? 132/134, ? 23,? 20, ?220, School-Kindergarten Lyceum. In the next 3-5 years all Azerbaijani schools will be connected to the system. The task to provide each pupil with a computer is set in certain central schools.

Electronic registers are created in electronic schools and using special password and login, parents can enter the school’s information system and learn about their children’s marks and attendance.
