Azerbaijan joins debate on border management issues

Mazahir Afandiyev, manager of the project on “Support to integrated border management systems in the South Caucasus countries” participated in the 3rd Annual Collaborative Border Management Conference in Brussels. Mr. Afandiyev delivered report on reforms and achievements gained in border management system of Azerbaijan.

The participants will discuss a wide range of issues, including the future of border management in Europe with key policymakers, models for information sharing and risk-management being adopted in Europe, lessons learned from the implementation of border management and customs programs globally, practical considerations in implementing collaborative border management between agencies, technology and processes to support the delivery of smart and secure borders.
