Snow thickness reaches 1m in Azerbaijani region

Non-stable weather condition continues in the Lerik region. According to Lerik Region Hydrometeorology Station of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, thickness of the snow reached 40-45 c in the centre of the region, in remote areas – 80 sm-1 meter.

According to local residents, there has been not observed so hard weather condition so far. Problems occurred in energy supply in several settlements and in traffic in intervillage roads. Lankaran-Lerik highway is workable.

the Lerik Region Hydrometeorology Station says the snowy weather condition will continue until March 18.
