‘Int’l Novruz Festival in Azerbaijan -2012’ starts

Baku Public Association European Student Forum  (AEGEE) under Youth and Sport Ministry’s support has started conduction of international event " International Novrus Festival in Azerbaijan -2012".

The Ministry reports that the event aims at informing young people all over the world about national traditions, values and history of Azerbaijani people, development of youth exchange bearing intercultural importance.

The project is expected to be attended by 40 young foreigners from different corners of the world. The participants will visit historical monuments of the country , take part in holiday events and celebrate Novruz in Azerbaijani families.

Within the project the participants will have discussions on different topics, through which they will get acquainted with positions of Azerbaijani and foreign youth and get opportunity to reach agreement and make their contribution in spread of peace.

AEGEE (www.aegee.org) conducts activity in over 270 cities of 40 countries of the world and unites over 15.000 students. Main purpose of the organization is creation of dialogue environment between Azerbaijani and European students and advance of European values among Azerbaijani youth.
