Book “Nakhchivan in Ottoman Archives” published

A book entitled “Nakhchivan in Ottoman Archives” featuring documents from State Archives of the Republic of Turkey was published. According to the Central Scientific Library of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, the book covers 157 archival documents with 85 themes, of 1554-1923 years.

The book features governing implemented in Nakhchivan during the periods of Kanuni Sultan Suleyman, Sultan Ahmed III, and Sultan Abdul-Hamid II, orders and decrees, migration to and from Nakhchivan, especially roams of Armenians from Ottoman territories to Nakhchivan, massacres committed by them and their aggression policy in these lands.

The book designer and author of the foreword is Director General of the State Archives of the Republic of Turkey Yusuf Sar?nay.
