Investigation launched into journalist Khadija Ismayilova’s case

The Azerbaijani Prosecutor General`s Office has said it launched an investigation into the intrusion into the private life of Khadija Ismayilova, a Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty employee.

According to the press service of the Prosecutor General`s Office, the enquiry was launched on the basis of the evidential material provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The investigation into the incident was started under the paragraph 156 (the intrusion into the private life) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The enquiry is carried out by the Baku Prosecutor`s Office.
