Regional Development Plan of Greater Baku is coming - PHOTOS

The Azerbaijani State Committee on City Building and Architecture carries out a primary research in connection with the Regional Development Plan of Greater Baku, State Committee Chairman Abbas Alasgarov said at an event devoted to this project.

He said experts from Italy, Australia and USA, as well as representatives from the World Bank, are involved in the plan drafting.  

“Azerbaijan is developing with rapid speed and the result of this progress is evident. Bulk of this development fell to Absheron. In this regard, Baku needs a perfect and detailed development plan, prepared with the use of advanced technology on a scientific basis. This project is the sicth in order in the history of Baku and the first in the history of independent Azerbaijan,” Alasgarov said.
 
Head of a working group on the Regional Development Plan of Greater Baku Novruz Eldarli said the presentation of the primary version of the plan is scheduled for June and July 2012.
 
"In the presentation, we are going to provide detailed information about the project. Work on the drafting the plan will be conducted in accordance with the approved schedule and the plan will be prepared by March 1, 2013,”  he noted.
