Baku prepares for Novruz festivities

A number of streets and roads will be closed for the traffic movement in Baku in connection with the Novruz festivities , Baku State Central Traffic Police Department spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Vagif Asadov  told Trend.

He said the traffic movement will be closed in the direction of Youth Square, from the intersection of Istiglaliyat Street and Azerbaijan Avenue from 9 pm March 12 till 11 pm March 113.  Traffic police asked drivers to use alternative routes.

A concert will be organized in an area near the Youth Square at 6:20 pm and will be followed by firework show at 8 pm.  The Baku City Executive Power reported that a holiday convoy will be organized on March 13, that will move from the Gosha Gala gates to the Ateshgah  temple  located in the Surakhani district of Baku.
