
According to the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, currently, water richness holds 120-210% of decade norm in the rivers of Major Caucasus, 130-135% in the rivers of Minor Caucasus, 40-70% in the rivers of Lankaran-Astara zone, while 30% in the rivers of Nakhichevan AR.
Water consumption holds 116 m3/sec, i.e. 48% of decade norm (in 2011, 62%, being 150 m3/sec) in Giragkasaman settlement of Kura river, while 85 m3/sec, i.e. 103% of decade norm (in 2011, 95%, being 78 m3/sec) in Ayrichay settlement of Ganikh river.
At present, water level holds 679 cm (On March 9, 2011, 626 cm) in Surra settlement, 568 cm (On March 9, 2011, 526 cm) in Shirvan region, 500 cm (On March 9, 2011, 476 cm) in Salyan region, 355 cm (On March 9, 2011, 349 cm) in Banka settlement, while 418 cm (On March 9, 2011, 355 cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
