
Two were charged with illegal transplantation of human organs in Azerbaijan last year, the report presented by the Azerbaijani government to the parliament reads. The report says that attempts to send Azerbaijani women to Turkey and the United Arab Emirates for sexual exploitation were prevented, criminal cases were launched on the facts.
Basing on the materials submitted by the National Security Ministry, the Department of Grave Crimes of the Prosecutor General’s Office launched criminal case on article “Purchasing, selling human organs and tissues, taking them by force with the view of transplanting”. Two more citizens of Azerbaijan were charged under this article.
According to the report, 25 foreigners illegally living in the country were deported, criminal cases were launched regarding 5 citizens of Pakistan using counterfeit documents.
