
The traffic movement is to be restricted in some streets and avenues of Baku due to Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili’s visit to Azerbaijan, Baku State Central Traffic Police Department spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Vagif Asadov said.
To ensure security of the guests, the traffic movement will be restricted today from 15.00 till the end of the event on the Airport highway, Heydar Aliyev, Azadlig avenues, “20-ci zavod” round, Yusif Safarov, Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Zarifa Aliyeva, Rasul Rza streets, Neftchiler avenue, Azneft square, Niyazi, Istiglaliyyet, Lermontov, Teymur Elchin, Mehdi Huseyn streets, Parlament avenue, Mikayil Mushfig street and in the direction of Alley of Honor and Martyrs’ Alley.
Asadov called on the drivers to use the above-mentioned roads less, prefer public transport. The drivers were are asked to use alternative roads.
