Ecology ministry works to protect greeneries

The related bodies of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry conducted a raid on the guardiance of greeneries. During the raids the specialists of the Ministry revealed the eradication of perennial trees including 10 Island with a diameter of 36-52 cm, 3 Sophora with a diameter of 36-44 cm, and 13 Acacia with a diameter of

12-48 cm in Nasimi dist. Azadlig ave. 24, and an act and a protocol were drawn up. During the process of inspection it was made known that, employees of the Planting of Greenery Collective Farm of Baku city had felled the abovementioned trees without agreeing with the State Examination Office of tte Ministry.

The Planting of Greenery Collective Farm of Baku city received an administrative penalty worth AZN 572 000 in compliance with the article ? 92.3.1 of the Administrative Error Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan connected with its violating the requirements of the certain decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Furthermore, according to the complaint letter on the cutting of greeneries in Yasamal dist., Sharifzadeh str. of Baku city entered the Ministry, the territory whereof was reviewed by the employees of MENR, and 5 trees were detected to be felled, alongside another 6 pollarded trees. It was defined that 5 trees were felled connected with their running dry completely (on condition of planting several evergreen tree genera in place of each of those cut), while 6 of them were trimmed on agrotechnical basis due to their causing accident situation by touching utility lines in the abovementioned territory based on the resort of the director of “Behisht” company to the State Examination Office of the Ministry commensurate with the opinion given by the State Examination Office.
