Water level ups in Kura river

The National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry reported currently, water richness holds 120-220% of decade norm in the rivers of Major Caucasus, 140-150% in the rivers of Minor Caucasus, 50-90% in the rivers of Lankaran-Astara zone, while 2-25% in the rivers of Nakhichevan AR.

Water consumption holds 143 m3/sec, i.e. 74% of decade norm (in 2011, 80%, being 155 m3/sec) in Giragkasaman settlement of Kura river, while 72 m3/sec, i.e. 94% of decade norm (in 2011, 102%, being 78 m3/sec) in Ayrichay settlement of Ganikh river.


At present, water level holds 638 cm (On February 27, 2011, 616 cm) in Surra settlement, 522 cm (On February 27, 2011, 500 cm) in Shirvan region, 338 cm (On February 27, 2011, 341 cm) in Banka settlement, while 330 cm (On February 27, 2011, 340 cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
