Anti-smoking measures will be toughened

Azerbaijan will apply major changes in the legislation in the fight against smoking. Deputy chairman of the Parliamentary Social Policy Committee Musa Guliyev said that the penalty for selling tobacco and tobacco products to person under the age of 18, as well as unlicensed and unit cigarette sales, will be increased.

"Today, these fines are symbolic- only 5-10 manat, has no influence in the fight against smoking,” he said, adding the penalty is expected to be increased up to 150 manat
