
Hygiene and Epidemiology Centre of Azerbaijan has stopped work of 2 facilities whose activity did not meet hygienic norms.
Heath Ministry of Azerbaijan reports that in January Hygiene and Sanitary Service bodies fined owners of 31 enterprises in administrative order , engaged in production, sales, storage and transportation of food products, whose activity did not meet hygienic norms. In January one person was temporarily suspended from duty for violation of sanitary- hygienic norms.
325 kinds of food product samples were attracted to lab researches on organoleptic and physical-chemical indicators, 259 samples- microbiological indicators, 92- on toxicological indicators and 13- on radiological indicators. The lab analysis revealed violation of organoleptic and chemical norms in 10 samples and microbiological norms –in 5 samples.
Smear preparations of 920 samples were taken in festivity houses in which microbiological pollutions were revealed. In January 61 cases of food poisoning were recorded resulting in damage to 66 people and 4 botulism cases resulted in damage to 6 people.
