
The Azerbaijan Press Council and Novosibirsk Branch of the Russian Union of Journalists clinched a cooperation memorandum. The memorandum envisages organization of reciprocal visits for the formation of an intensive relationship among journalists, experience exchange in different directions and close familiarization of mass media representatives in Novosibirsk with Azerbaijan.
The memorandum signed as part of the meeting held between chairman of the Azerbaijan Press Council Aflatun Amashov and chair of Novosibirsk Branch of the RUJ and Andrey Chelnakov and secretary of the Russian Writers` Union and head of Novosibirsk Branch of the Union Anatoly Shalin.
Amashov briefed visitors on the activity of the Council, whose major goal is to regulate media-society and media-government relations. He underlined that mostly, citizens, governmental bodies, private enterprises and local self-governing bodies make complaints. In his turn, Andrey Chelnakov praised significance of the Azerbaijan Press Council`s experience in the region.
