
According to the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry currently, water richness holds 120-215% of decade norm in the rivers of Major Caucasus, 145-155% in the rivers of Minor Caucasus, 85-125% in the rivers of Lankaran-Astara zone, while 20-25% in the rivers of Nakhichevan AR.
Water consumption holds 148 m3/sec, i.e. 87% of decade norm (in 2011, 72%, being 123 m3/sec) in Giragkasaman settlement of Kura river, while 65 m3/sec, i.e. 92% of decade norm (in 2011, 77%, being 54 m3/sec) in Ayrichay settlement of Ganikh river.
At present, water level holds 623 cm (On February 20, 2011, 582 cm) in Surra settlement, 512 cm (On February 20, 2011, 467 cm) in Shirvan region, 341 cm (On February 20, 2011, 327 cm) in Banka settlement, while 341 cm (On February 20, 2011, 300 cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
