Winter again will show its ‘cold’

The National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resource reported that the weather is predicted to be mostly rainless in Baku and Absheron peninsula tomorrow. Temperate southern wind will blow, will strengthen off and on. The temperature is expected to be 0-3 C at night, +5-8 C in the afternoon.

On Feb. 15, the weather is forecast to be mainly rainless. Fog is expected in some places at night and in the morning. Southern wind will blow, will intermittently strengthen in the mountainous areas.

The temperature will be -2C to +3 C at night, +4-9 C in the afternoon, -5-10 C in the mountains at night, and -1 C to +4 C in the afternoon, up to +7 C in some places. The minimum temperature in the high mountainous areas is predicted to be -10-15 C.

Over the next two days, temperate southern wind is expected to occasionally intensify. The temperature will gradually rise.

However, the temperature will lower from Feb.18, National Hydrometeorological Department official Umayra Tagiyeva said. The air temperature will rise to 5-9 C on Feb.15-17. On the night of Feb.18 to Feb.19, a drop is expected in the air temperature – to 2 C and -0 C- at night. However, no frosts are expected.
