Int'l conference on mathematic due in Baku

An international conference called “Theory of functions and problems of harmonic analysis” dedicated to honored figure of science, full member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Doctor of the Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Ibrahim Ibrahimov`s 100th jubilee will be held in the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS here on February 28.

The event to be attended by prominent scientists from US, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Iran and other countries will culminate on March 1. According to ANAS, Ibrahim Ibrahimov is the first Azerbaijani received candidate of science in Mathematics.

Academician Ibrahim Ibrahimov was director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics and president of the Azerbaijan Mathematical Society.
