Freezing cold takes ‘pause’

Calm whether forecasted in Azerbaijan for Feb.5. The National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry reported that in Baku and Absheron peninsula cloudy weather will be prevalent

Mist will be in some places in the morning.  The weather is predicted to be mostly rainless in the afternoon. North-eastern wind will blow, will be followed by south-eastern wind in the afternoon. The temperature is expected to be -5- -8 C at night, up to 0 C in the afternoon. Roads will ice up.

The weather will be mainly rainless in most regions of the country, but lesser snow is forecast in some northern and eastern regions at night and in the evening on Feb.5.  Fog will be in several places. Eastern wind will blow.

The temperature will be -2 - -7C at night, 0-4 C in the afternoon, -14- -19C in the mountains at night, and 0- -5 C in the afternoon. The minimum temperature in the high mountainous areas is expected to be -20- -25C. Roads will be covered with ice.

Over the next two days, rainless weather will prevail by and large. The temperature will be 0-2 C in relation to the previous days.
