More schools join e-school project in Azerbaijan

About 32 schools are to join the e-School project in Azerbaijan, Head of the department at the Education Ministry Samir Mammadov told.

"Today the main task is to provide every classroom with at least one computer with internet access," he said. "This will simplify the process of completing the e-journal. The schools participating in the project are provided with all the necessary equipment."

The project allows parents and pupils to access information such as attendance and grades via the Educational Portal (www.edu.az), by logging in with a username and password.

"Work on the SMS-alert module integration has been completed," said Mammadov. "This service is provided by mobile operators with which parents may directly enter into a contract."
