
The air temperature will be mainly close normal in Azerbaijan in February, but the temperature is forecasted to be below normal early in February, Senior hydrologist of the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Asif Verdiyev said. The amount of monthly precipitation is also expected to close to normal, sometimes a little higher than normal.
The average monthly temperature in Baku and Absheron peninsula will be 2-4 C, which is close to the normal. The temperature will be -1- 4 C at nights, sometimes -3--8 C. The temperature will be 3… 8 C in the daytimes, on cold days 0… -2 C. The amount of monthly precipitation will be close normal (norm 21-24 mm), at times above normal.
In Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic the average monthly temperature is forecasted to be -2- 1 C, which is close to the normal. The temperature will be -3--8 C at nights, on cold days -15- -20 C, 2-7 C in the daytimes, on cold days 0- -5 C. The amount of monthly precipitation will be close normal (norm 11-29 mm), at times above normal.
The average monthly temperature in Upper Karabakh: Khankendi, Khojavend, Zangilan, Gubadli, Shusha, Khojaly, Lachin, Kalbajar, Dashkesen-Gedebey will be -2- 1 C; in Gazakh-Ganja, Tartar, Aghdam-Fuzuli- Jabrail regions will be 2-4 C; in Balakan, Zagatala, Gakh, Shaki, Oghuz, Gabala, Ismayilli, Aghsu, Shamakhi, Siyazan, Shabran, Khizi, Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz regions will range between -1- 3 C.
The average monthly temperature in Central Lowland regions – Mingachevir, Yevlakh, Kurdamir, Imishli, Ali-Bayramli, Sabirabad, Bilasuvar, Salyan and Neftchala will be 3-5 C and in Masalli-Lankaran-Astara-Lerik regions will be 2-5 C.
