Wideband Internet covers Azerbaijani villages

Within the concept of Wideband Internet Development in Azerbaijani regions for 2011-13 Aztelekom Industrial Association of Communication and Information Technologies Ministry of Azerbaijan has simultaneously launched both ADSL and other network equipment in 236 villages of the country.

Aztelekom reports that following the conducted work state Internet provider Aztelekom.net has gained opportunity to service about 30.000 wideband Internet subscribers in the most remote regions of the country. The country regions presently number 20.000 high speed Internet users. Besides 30.000 subscribers are connected to regional network of private Internet providers and conditions for connection created for another 20.000 subscribers. Under the concept montage capacity of ADSL equipment in regions has been brought to 100.000 ports. As a result of measures planned for 2012 Internet infrastructure of regions will considerably improve and revolutionary changes will take place in the number of wideband Internet users.
