
The mine-clearing operations at an armament depot in Guzdek settlement of Baku’s Garadagh district exploded by the Soviet army during USSR time will be finished in March, 2012, Supervisor of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Actions (ANAMA) Fuzuli Namazov reported.
Some 224,100 square meters of 310, 000 sq-m depot have been already cleared. Following the operations, outside quality inspection will be held and then the area will be handed over. 13563 unexploded ammunitions, including C-4 plastic explosives, tank projectiles, cannon-shots and guided missiles have been found in the area so far.
