High-speed road tragedies in Baku – VIDEO

Baku State Central Traffic Police Department spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Vagif Asadov said Baku recorded about 1,259 traffic accident since early 2011. As of Dec.17, the traffic accidents killed 307 people and injured 1,428 people.

The number of traffic accidents increased by 7 percent. Of these accidents, 51 percent is related to the crackdown on pedestrians. Some 49 percent of the traffic accidents are caused by high speed, 27 percent – violation of traffic rules and violation of the overtaking rules.
