New building catches fire in Baku

A fire broke out in one of the new buildings in the Yeni Yasamal District in Baku.  The fire occurred in the basement, where the electric lines pass. The flames did not spread to the apartments. However, the corridors were filled with acrid smoke and residents were forced to wait for help on balconies

The fire brigades and ambulance crews were sent to the scene. Residents were quickly evacuated and received the first aid. According to them, in the absence of gas, they had to heat their apartments with electricity. The fire was extinguished.  The Emergency Situations Ministry investigates the causes of the fire.
