Europe`s biggest cake baked in Azerbaijan - PHOTOS

The Europe`s biggest cake has been made here on the occasion of President Ilham Aliyev`s 50th jubilee. Confectioners decided to celebrate this way the anniversary of the Head of State and let residents of the city have it. The Azerbaijan flag-shaped cake is 50 meters long and weights 12 tons.

The cake was decorated with Sumgait`s coat of arms and “delicious” models of the country`s attractions including Shusha fortress, Palace of Shaki khans, Maiden`s Tower, Temple of Fire Worshippers, Heydar Aliyev Palace, Presidential Palace etc. Solely natural ingredients were used to bake the cook: 22 thousand eggs, 2,5 tons of flour, 500 kg of butter and 500 kg of walnuts etc.
The cake was cut by Sumgait mayor Eldar Azizov and representative of the New Azerbaijan Party Asif Imamaliyev.
