
A street in Tbilisi will be soon named after Azerbaijani poet Ahmed Javad. The Tbilisi City Council - Sakrebulo took this decision yesterday. By the Tbilisi Sakrebulo's decision, several streets in the capital are named after in honor of translators of the world-famous poem "The Knight in the Panther's Skin" by Shota Rustaveli.
As the Names And Symbols Committee Chairman Lasha Imedashvili told journalists, nameless streets in Isani-Samgori district are decided to be named after translators "The Knight in the Panther's Skin"- Azerbaijani Ahmed Javad, Englishwoman Marjory Wardrop and Ukrainian Mikola Bazhan.
