‘Our goal is to ensure safety of pedestrians”

Two underpasses are expected to be opened in Baku by late 2011, Azeryolservis spokesman Punhan Mursalov said. The work on construction of the underpasses located in the Azneft area and around the Sea Passenger Terminal was almost completed.
 
"Escalators were already installed at the underpass in the Azneft area. According to the project, construction will consist of three tunnels. The first tunnel to be built across the street between the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s building and the Governor's garden, the second will run from SOCARs’ building to  the National Seashore Park . The third - from the Governor's garden to the National Seashore. The work was launched in January 2011,” he added. "Our goal is to ensure the safety of pedestrians.”
