Georgia approves 2012-state budget

10 December 2011 [10:35] - TODAY.AZ
The Georgian parliament yesterday approved a state budget for 2012. The budget was adopted by 86 "for" and 3 "against". The representatives of both majority and minority actively participated in the consideration of the draft budget.

The Parliamentary opposition minority refused to support the draft budget for 2012, as it does not take into account the social needs of citizens.
Finance Minister Dmitry Gvindadze submitted the draft state budget and stressed that the recommendations made in the Parliament will be taken into account in the final version of the budget. According to the project, the budget for next year will hit 7.940.430 million lari ($ 1 = 1.65 lari).
