Fire burns down six cafes in Turkey

A fire that broke out in a nargile café in İstanbul's Tophane neighborhood and spread to others burnt down six cafes, rendering them unusable.

The fire broke out in one of the cafes early on Wednesday and quickly spread to several others. Firefighting teams were dispatched to the area, but had a hard time bringing the blaze under control as it grew quickly due to several wooden tables and plastic tents. The teams finally extinguished the fire after a few hours, but six cafes had already been burnt down.

According to the initial findings of the investigation, the fire broke out in a coal depot of one of the cafes. There were no casualties caused by the flame.
