Arab League thanks Azerbaijan for assistance to Somalia

The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Nabil El-Arabi, has sent a letter of gratitude to Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov for the Azerbaijani government’s humanitarian assistance worth $100,000 provided to Somalia to eliminate the humanitarian crisis, the ministry reported.

El-Arabi expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani government for assistance to Somalia and assessed this step as a clear expression of the country's historical ties with the Arab world.
