17 August 2011 [18:11] - TODAY.AZ
Tehran is prepared to help the neighboring countries to build border stations and maintain security along their borders, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said, Fars News AGency reported

"Independent countries of the region can take proper steps to establish security in their countries through cooperating with each other and we are ready to work with the neighboring countries in maintaining security and provide the necessary facilities for the construction of border stations," Mehmanparast told.

He further blamed the presence of foreign forces in the region for growing terrorist activities in the regional countries.

Iranian officials have always said that the foreign forces deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan are responsible for the spread of terrorism in the region.

The Iranian officials have expressed concern over the expansion of terrorist operations in the Middle East region, saying that the phenomenon is a major result of the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq by the foreign military forces.
