Another terrorist attack committed in Turkey : one soldier murdered

Another terrorist attack was committed in Turkey today following the previous attack in the Cukurca district, the Sabah newspaper reported.

A mine blew up at the scene of the previous attack, which occurred this morning. The mine blew up when an investigation was underway there to examine the details of the terrorist attack. The incident killed one soldier and seriously wounded another. The wounded soldier was taken to a nearby hospital.

Details of the incident are being investigated.

Today a mine blew up in the Cukurca district in the Hakkari city of Turkey while a military car passed, the Sabah newspaper reported.

As a result of the incident 7 servicemen were killed, one of which is battalion commander. The number of injured people hit 11. They were taken to nearby hospitals. The investigatory operations are underway at the scene.

According to preliminary version, the terror attack was organized by member of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). After the explosion, the servicemen in the military car were shot.

Turkish President Abdullah Gul made a statement regarding the terror attack, stressing that the Turkish authorities will not wait for the end of Ramadan month to launch operation to combat terrorism.

"There is nothing stronger than the state. Anyone who thinks that he will be able to get something from the Turkish authorities with explosions, guns and murder, is deeply wrong," Gul said.
